The School values academic performance. All our students are entered for the
International General
Certificate of Education (IGCSE), an internationally recognised qualification followed by
schools in more than one hundred countries. Our final year students are entered for the
International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations, leading to qualifications that allow
access to universities worldwide.
Pre-exam students follow our own courses that are based on the British National Curriculum,
but adapted to meet the needs of our international student community.
Relatively small classes enable Programmes of Study to be designed that recognise diversity in
learning styles and the pace at which individuals learn most effectively. Total access to laptop technology
supports us in developing a culture of learning at any time and any pace, allowing all students
to be intellectually challenged and to be set targets focused on their individual potential.
The curriculum at The International School of Toulouse is balanced in content and methodology.
Our students learn how to work effectively as members of a group, while using the considerable
resources at their disposal to become skilled independent learners. They are also encouraged to
appreciate the unity of knowledge by studying key transferable skills across the boundaries
of subject disciplines.
