Assemblies & Homework

Regular, non-religious assemblies provide a perfect opportunity for children to practise presentation skills. Each class has the opportunity to share work in progress in the classroom and practise performing in front of an audience. Weekly assemblies are also an opportunity to share information on Primary school issues such as playground rules, celebrating Primary news and Golden Book Awards. Golden Book Awards are weekly motivational certificates given for students demonstrating successful application of learning skills or attitudes promoted by the school.

Assemblies & Homework

Homework is an important part of becoming an independent learner. Even from Reception Class children are expected to take home books to share at home. As they move up the school, the range of tasks increases. Conscious of the busy lives our students live outside of school, our homework policy enables work for the week to be set on a Monday, allowing students and parents to fit it into their personal family schedule during the week.
